Tod Steven Tecktiel (52) passed away at home on Friday, August 28, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Elyce nee Herbach; loving father of Marina (Dave Yergin), Jeremy, and Cosette (his canine companion); son of Rosalie and the late Melvin Tecktiel; brother of Brian (Robyn) and Alan (Julie); son-in-law of Florence and the late Donald Herbach; brother-in-law of Alan (Kathy) Herbach and Pamela (Bill) Kutschke and uncle to Eric, Debbie, Danna, Melanie, Emma, and Eli. Tod loved his family dearly and took his role as a husband, father, son, brother and uncle both seriously and with a smile on his face. Tod’s pride in his children’s accomplishments was obvious to anyone he met. Tod was a passionate and talented educator, known as “Mr. T”, who loved making others laugh and took painstaking measures to ensure each person around him felt special. Tod will be greatly missed by all who have had the honor of knowing him. Funeral services will be held Monday, August 31 at 2:30 PM at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
